I have a question regarding the "How much money (in Canadian dollars) ..." item, because I have over a year of experience here so that would let me off the hook about the proof of funds, but this is a required item.

How much should I put in?

I think the reason that you're required to provide it is that you have declared it in your EE profile. However, if you got an invitation under CEC, you would be able to put 0 before submitting your application. But note that you should state in your LOE something like "Since you apply under CEC, you do not need to provide a proof of funds..."

I haven't declared anything yet, but if I get invited I think it will have to be through CEC because I have the requirements.

So I should put "0" then?

If you put 0, then you wouldn't be eligible for other streams (eg FSW), I think.
You would be eligible only for CEC, then.
So, if you haven't completed your EE profile yet, I would suggest not to do so at this stage. You will be able to modify it later on if you get invitation, I believe.

I'm not expert, but I just wanted to share my thoughts. You should also ask others about this to be 100% sure.
