How long to get Visitor visa from Chandigarh consulate waiting since Aug 25

Applied for multiple entry Visitor visa for my mother to VFS Delhi but they transferred application to Chandigarh Consulate due to new rules and our region comes under Chandigarh consulate. It has been over 21 working days now but the status on VFS website still says 'Application received at Chandigarh on 25-Aug and is currently Under Processing'.

1. Has anyone recently applied for visitor visa thru Chandigarh consulate and how long did it take?
2. Are there complications in getting visa for seniors?
3. How long does it take Chandigarh consulate to send passport back to VFS Delhi (if anyone had similar case)?

Any help would be appreciated

they take so much even for a visitor visa ............did u written any date for any event going to happen and which ur mother has to attend

Just curious - wondering if you had applied for a family sponsorship for your parents.

I applied for my mother in law's Visitor visa at VFS. Chandigarh office received passport on 20th sept , have been waiting since then .. no response .. visa still under processing on VFS website ..
Dunno how long will it take

My Parents applied on 12 sep at VFS Chandigarh and it still show that passport received and yesterday we called to vfs and ask about status and they told us the same thing it's in processing.Its more than a month now .Did you know anybody else who applied in sep and got passport back.Please share the timeline .Thanks.

Dear Frirnds....

I have also applied TRV for my mother at CIC Chandigarh thru VFS.

was also in the same situation as urs..... Applied on 01Sep 2011, as Processing time is 21 days
as site displays for chandigarh. so i wait until....

There was no any response & Status was "In Processing" after 40 days. then i mark a mail to CIC Chd on 11/10/2011....

on 13/10/2011 got SMS of our file Processed. Got Passport from 14/10/2011 from VFS by hand.

so i wanna tell you we wait a lot (abt 40) days then when i send mail abt status of our case on 11/10/2011, very next day they Stamp Visa on 12/10/11

**** in my mail (11/10/2011)sent to CIC... i mentioned the date of event to attend in canada
was 22/10/2011
