How long to get FBI fingerprint report ?

How long does it take to get FBI fingerprint report ?

I mailed my fingerprints to FBI last month on 15th Sep, 06 and I mentioned
deadline as 19th Oct, 06. So far I've heard nothing from FBI.

I'm from Michigan, does it matter from which state the report was requested ?
Can I track progress of my report somewhere ?

I'm running out of time and I need to send all my documents to Canadian Cosulate by Nov 22nd, 06.
What if I fail to send my documents by this date, can I extend it ??
