I just received my Permanent Visa. I've learnd I have to be living in Canada to apply to sponsor my new husband. How long should I be living in Canada before I apply to sponsor him?
In the sponsorship guide it is said that I need a certain annual income to sponsor him. So, do I need to wait at least one year to earn all that money before I apply to sponsor my husband?

1. I hope that you "landed" before you married your husband. If you didn't, then s/he is not a member of the family class and can't be sponsored.
2. Although spousal applicants don't have to have an income or meet the Low Income Cutoff Figure, they have to demonstrate that if their spouse is admitted to Canada, they will be able to support them without resorting to welfare. This is especially true where the spouse has no skills or language ability. Refusal for this don't happen often but they do happen. So may want to at least start a job or have some support before submitting the application.
I have not landed yet but I have not gotten officially married yet either. Our plan is to me to land next month and then get married - I mean, just a few days after the landing.
Do you know if I can apply to sponsor him as soon as I have landed and got married? Or do I have to wait one year after the landing?
Also, after I apply to sponsor him, can I wait for the process to be completed in my country? I don't want to be apart from him the time it takes to get his visa.
Since you are a PR, you will have to be living in Canada when you sponsor him and remain in Canada while his application is being processed. Only citizens can sponsor their spouses while living outside Canada.
As long as you have not lived with him for 12 months or more, you are ok to marry him after your landing and apply to sponsor him.
If you have lived together for 12 months or more, you would be considered common law which is in Canada as good as married so in that case, you would have to add him to your application before you land.
You must stay in Canada during the sponsorship processing. You can maybe take a short vacation to visit but if immigration finds out that you have left Canada for a longer time, they can cancel your sponsorship. A citizen may be outside Canada while sponsoring a spouse but a PR can not.
