I am going to apply through CEC on 2014 February. According to the web site applicants are eligible for bridging open work To be eligible for a bridging open work permit, the applicants must:
Currently be in Canada;
Have valid status on a work permit that is due to expire within 4 months;
Have received confirmation from CIC that their permanent resident application is eligible under one of the four Economic Classes (FSWP, CEC, PNP and FSTP), and;
Have made an application for an open work permit.
My question is how long it ll take receiving confirmation from CIC so that i ll be able to extend my Work Permit?
Please anyone share with experience..thank you
No one will be able to tell you anything about how fast CIC will send you
your AOR in the future. Right now it takes about ~50 days.
Might be faster or slower next year.

By the way, meantime in January 2014 i ll also apply to provincial program but ll withdraw it as soon as i got any confirmation or reply from Federal Government..
Whenever you get your AOR and your current WP expires in following 4 months,
then yes, you are eligible for a BOWP.
Why would you apply for PNP and withdraw? That doesn't make any sense to me..

I ll apply for PNP in January just to secure myself if CEC ll reject me..and also i ll have finished 1year of skilled work in February and ll apply to CEC ..
My last question to you,what if my WP ll be expiring in one month am i still eligible for BOWP?
