If you received PR status through EE, it was not a sponsorship situation. One of you was the main applicant, the other was the dependent. Sponsorship rules do not apply to your situation.

Thank you for the prompt reply. I have another question, in this case:

Is there any Govt. defined wait time before I can remarry in Canada(in case the second spouse is inland) or Sponsor (in case he's outside Canada)?
