I recently received my AOR and I might need to submit Police Clearance from the Philippines (NBI) soon since I lived in the Philippines more than 6 months.
I am currently in Canada so I decided to request through mail. I've sent my finger printed form (which I got from Philippines Consulate) to the Philippines on early May.
Then I've got a letter that I need to send a copy of my passport, so scanned and sent my copy of passport through email on end of May.
Since then I have not hear from them. Please whoever got the NBI clearance through mail, how long did it take for you?
I asked a nephew to pick the NBI up in Manila on the release date stamped at the back of the Official Receipt. He sent it via EMS but it took one (1) month for me to receive it. On the envelope, my nephew declared "NBI Clearance". The envelope was opened at the Canada Border, and just sealed it back with Canada Border tape. The security of the mails could be the reason for the delay?
We had our fingerprinting done at one of the Consular Services here then sent the authenticated form to an authorized relative back home for processing with the NBI Office. Did you undergo a different application procedure since you aren't a Fil citizen? But just try to contact the Consulate or NBI Manila to determine where your clearance is.
We already have the AOR last July 9, 2013 but I haven't sent it to CPP-O as I am thinking the file has not been transferred there yet. I might wait for another week.
Yup, good luck... I checked our clearance, released on June 7, mailed by a relative on June 9, EMS said it would take 10 days for delivery, I was in and out of the post office to check mails, then we just got it on July 16, so more than a month..
