Hi, I was wondering how long does it take to receive AOR now after the application has been received by CIC? It seems like back in the day ( accordingly to the old forum threads) there was information on the CIC site that for example it would take 35 or 45 days to approve the sponsor so it was a certain frame of time that people could count on but now there’s no information on the official site about how long the first stage takes so I was wondering how long does it take nowadays for the sponsor to get approved or to receive AOR? Thanks.
Do you have proof that it was delivered (postage tracking number)? In my case, we got AOR1 on May 3 a little less than a month from when the application was delivered (April 7). We got sponsor approval about a week after AOR1 (May 9).
Until we got AOR1, it was a nerve wracking time hoping the application was complete and wasn't being returned. Best of luck.

Thank you...that’s true and this waiting is driving me nuts already just because I simply want to make sure that we submitted all the right forms, no errors etc. We used DHL to send our docs so we know exactly the date when it got delivered and it’s been about two weeks already and I realize that it might be still to early to wait to hear anything from them...Thank you and good luck to you too!
