How long does it take to get the AOR email for inland spouse application sent on 10th January,2019?

Hi,
I have sent the inland spouse PR with open work permit application which by the courier tracking was received by CIC office on 15th January, 2019, My TRV expires in end of April,2019. Can anyone with similar situation help me know when can I receive the AOR and what is the further step? Apply for a extention of TRV or just wait.

8-12 weeks. Safest course of action is to apply to extend status as a visitor just to make sure you're covered.

Thank you so much for your reply. Further, are there chances of rejection of extention TRV? And what if I don't receive an answer until my current trv expiry date? Can I stay in Canada or I have to leave?

Can someone please help me with the further process. As my trv expiries in April endshould I need to seperately apply for extention or my application for open work permit which I have already sent with my PR application will be sufficient?.

May I know how did you proceed? As per my info I will have to apply to extend my stay as a visitor.

I just received the acknowledgement email 1 day after posting my query here. So it took exactly 2 months to receive the acknowledgement (with Christmas, New Year, Thanksgiving etc in between).
Also, as per my information, the application for open work permit (which is an application to extend stay as a worker in Canada) should have an implied status. So do not need to apply for a visitor record (extend status as a visitor) separately.
