I got an e-mail requesting RPRF over a week ago. How long does it takes from paying this fee to passport request or the issuance of PR?

LOL. CIC always makes it sound like "almost immediately". But I've seen a LOT of these cases over the years and the majority of PPRs come within 2-4 months of the request for RPRF.
My understanding is that it's down to Ottawa, NYC and LA at this point: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2013/ob496.asp
Further, the current labour action is impacting service times.
My application was first sent to Sydney, NS; then Ottawa. Will I have to send my passport to Ottawa or will Ottawa send my case to a consulate post in the USA. I'm applying as a provincial Nominee under AINP for H1B visa holders. Any ideas??

As I understand it, CPP-O can handle everything for you. Normally they only transfer to the US offices when there's additional work required, but they do keep changing things.
I have paid my RPRF in mid May and still waiting for PR. Does any one has any clue how long is taking to get PR after sending PR fee and personal history? for us is being more than 1.5 months. I have heard normally should take just 4 weeks.
Any thought or advise would be appreciated in advance!
I'm in the same boat. From our friend computergeek, it seems that 2-4 months is the standard time to get passports requested from CIC. Let me know if you hear something different.
Our RPRF was just paid lately, June 3, right after receiving it. Last June 3, our rep sent us 2 emails dated May 29 from CPPO--request for RPRF payment and another one requesting us to redo our medicals.
And yes, i'd believe with you on that... Consistent prayer and believing should be our weapon in this long and painful wait!
