I wanted to know that how long does it take CIC to stamp the passport for study permit within Canada. I had applied for the conversion of single entry study permit to multiple entry online. It got approved today so waiting for the approval letter. When I send my passport in to CIC, then how many days or weeks it take CIC to stamp and send back to me?

Study permits are separate documents from the passports and are mailed to you (if within Canada). No stamps nor even the need to send your passport to CIC. Also Study permits are not meant to allow multiple or single entries, they are not entry documents, they only enable you to study.
Are you sure you don't mean Visitor Visa (Type Student)?
No, I want to travel to my home country but my student permit has written single entry only. So I applied again to get it multiple entry and it got approved. I still need to send my passport to get it stamped again for the study permit multiple entry on passport.

Study Permits don't have the multiple-single concept as they are not meant to be entry documents. The Study Permit specifies clearly in the bottom "this does not authorize re-entry".
Here is an image of a TRV (left) and a Study permit (right), please identify which one you are referring to:
OK! A TRV should take around 3 days for stamping plus what it spends on the mail. I recommend using Xpress post which should get you the TRV in about 5-7 business days.
** No such thing as a "Student visa" it is "Temporary Resident Visa (TRV)"
