Has your asylum claim been approved? If not, you don't qualify for an RTD. It is usually the other country that limits how long you can be abroad. If you are living in Canada, your ability to take vacation time is usually a factor. If you are receiving welfare absences from Canada will affect your ability to receive welfare.
