I sent my application for the FSWP 2013 two and a half weeks ago. It was signed for on delivery to the CIC office in Nova Scotia. However, I still haven't heard anything back from CIC.
Does this mean they are still reviewing it or does it mean it's being posted back to me as incomplete?
How long does the CIC take to confirm receipt of *complete* applications?
If you only sent your application a few weeks ago then they most likely haven't even opened it yet. You should expect it will take a couple of months before you hear anything.
My application reached on 12 June too. Our applications have probably not even been opened as yet. The receipt of confirmed application is confirmed when the associated CC/DD gets charged. I don't think we should expect any sign before early August.
I'm gathering all the documentation again to then send it as new.
It's just hard to get the forms 100% right and gather all the required paperwork. Jesus, only the IELTS results and birth cert translation are so difficult to get.
I'm sending the application again anyway. If I don't try then ill never know, right?

Gathering the documents is hard work... but make sure you do it right this time and not use any old form or miss any signature. Was there any other problem apart old Schedule 3 form previously??

Yeah I realized my application was missing the affidavit for the birth cert translation so I put the application together again and sent it. It got to Nova Scotia on Thursday last week.
On a separate subject, surely the Canadian government has to think about multiculturalism meaning they can't just accept applications from people from the same country/region. They have to have geographical quotas, otherwise they would give 5,000 visas all to individuals coming from asia. If this forum is anything to go by, about 90% of applicants are asian.
Any thoughts?
