How long after the Medical is completed will I be contacted for the next step in the process?

I completed my medical 09-27-17. I have not heard from Canada since then. How long does it take for them to contact me for the next step in the process and what is the next step?

Inland or Outland??
Keeping in mind that everyone's application timeline can be unique....
We are outland and it was just under 2 months from our med request on Sept 1 until our passport request email on Nov 20.
We had already had them done prior to the request so I'm not sure if that shortened our timeline or not. They do start the background and eligibility check in this timeframe as well so the PPR might align from when those things are almost complete on their end. The same day we got the PPR we also saw ecas changed to Decision Made for Applicant.

Thank You. It is Outland and I just got the email on January 11, 2018 to do my Background Check. This was over 3 months after my medical was done.
