Hi,
I am thinking of going into Durham college Oshawa campus to study Advertising and marketing OR Public relations.
My concern is how good are Durham's placements and are student jobs and housing available readily near the college.
How is the campus and the student life.
Thanks in advance for the reply

Except the top MBA schools please don't think about 'placement' scenario in Canada.
Students from South Asian countries are fed to believe by agents that as soon as they graduate
there will be a placement fair in the college and more than 90% students will be hired. Rest 10% didn't
try enough thats why they were losers.
Student jobs mostly odd jobs but I heard near Durham Oshiwa campus they are quite rare to find.
Housing : Durham helps and you can search on Kjijiji also.

Is I won't get a job after my diploma how will I apply for a work permit then.
I'll be taking a loan for my education and would have to start paying it after 6 months of my course completion

I'll be most probably be doing a diploma in Advertising and Marketing OR Public relations that is a 2 year diploma.
And the Durham College representative was saying that they have education fair's and they help you make you're CV and crack the interview. And then he said that if you crack the interview you can be sure that you'll find a job

I guess cracking interview mean you get a job and not finding a job after cracking a interview.
Ask them about past statistics of graduates with names and from your diploma course. If this is a niche
field which I guess it's not, landing up with a job is lot of hard work and patience besides the luck factor.

I'll do a job at any salary.
This job is only to get PR my future goals are something different.
And the college statistics that I saw online shows a 85% employment rate after 6 months of graduation
