I'm an Indian and my course commences on January 9th, 2023 and in a haste I booked a flight due December 9th, 2022.
I don't see it even on the cic site but people are telling me not to travel before 21 days before your course commences otherwise you'll have to go through a series of scrutinizing questions from the officer and you may be sent back to come after 10 days or you'll be given a notice from the embassy to report after 6 months or something.
Should I reschedule my flight or is it safe to travel?
Also I'll be travelling with British Airways From New Delhi to Toronto via Heathrow (3hrs 20mins Layover).
This is my first time traveling internationally. Please guide. Thank you in Advance.

There is no established timeline as to when is it OK to travel. However, general convention is to travel with no more than 30 days in advance.
I have not read on the forum about anybody that has had an issue traveling with less than 30 days prior than their start of studies so you should be OK.

No issue as long as there is no proof that you want to try to work during the holiday period. The government is reasonable and does give you time to get housing, get settled, etc. before classes start.
