How does Canada and US dual citizenship works?

My daughter is American citizen by birth, we applied Canadian citizenship and waiting for test/interview. How's the dual citizenship work between these two countries? As my understanding these two countries honour dual citizenship because I do not want my daughter's American citizenship to lose. Please have your thoughts. Thank you.

She would just have to use her US passport to enter the US (and will have to do a US income tax) and Canadian one to enter Canada.
