I have valid W1 stamped on my visa however I resigned from my organization in India who is going to send me Canada for work. So I dont have work permit issued yet.
Do I need to cancel my W1 visa if I want to apply new visitor visa or open work permit under my spouse who is going to Canada for work.

All you have now is a TRV only & Actual work permit is only issued at Immigration upon landing
There is no such thing as canceling a visa. It just expires if not used
So you mean to say that W1 is also a TRV visa and I can travel with that with my spouse and no need to apply for new Visitor visa application.
Or I should apply for Visitor visa along with my spouse ICT visa application
