Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi everyone!
My wife (a PR) and I are bringing her 6 year old daughter to Canada from The Philippines.

We got approved as sponsors (yay!) And recently got a confusing email from CIC. it's basically asking us to submit documents ONLY if we have not submitted them already. I cut and pasted them below.

The challenge is I'm not quite sure if it's mentioning these because they noticed we were missing them. Or if they just send this email to everyone.
The truth is I can't be 100% sure that all the documents below have been submitted properly.

Is there a call centre in CIC or anyone that can help us to know for sure or not if we need to submit those papers?

here are some specific questions...

1) I assume since it's a 6 year old child there is no police certificate needed?

2) I paid partial fees for the child, much less than my spouse. I forget the terminology but I think the child does not have to pay the right of permanent residence fee?

thanks everyone!!!!

--------

1. Payment of Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) by your sponsor in Canada to our office in Mississauga, if not already paid. Please provide a photocopy of the payment receipt by email to MANILIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca.

For more information on how to pay fees, your sponsor may visit: www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp.

2. Valid police certificates from all countries where you and any family member age 18 and over have resided for 6 months or more. Police certificates which are not in English or French must be accompanied by a certified translation. For country-specific instructions, go to: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp.

Refer to important reminders under POLICE CERTIFICATES at the end of this letter.

3. Completed and signed forms:

a. IMM5669 Schedule A: Background/Declaration (Do not leave any gaps in your personal history and addresses).

b. IMM5406 Additional Family Information form

Fillable forms are available at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/index.asp.

4. Identity and Civil Documents

a. For Philippine citizens:

Ø PSA (Philippine Statistics Authority) Birth Certificate for yourself, your sponsor and all dependent children. (IF BIRTH CERTIFICATE IS LATE-REGISTERED, you MUST also submit baptismal certificate and other documents establishing identity such as old school records, voter’s ID, etc)

Ø PSA Advisory on Marriages for yourself and if applicable, your sponsor

Ø PSA Marriage Certificate

Ø PSA Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) for dependent children aged 18 and above

----

Please note that if any of the information/documents listed above have been previously submitted to our office, they need not be submitted again.

To ensure the timely processing of your application, the required information/documents must be provided to us within THIRTY (30) days of the date of this letter.

this is a standard letter sent to everyone who has received sponsor approval and this letter does not suggest anything is missing from your application. if the correct applicant fees weren't paid up front, then CIC would have told you before approving you as the sponsor. only the right of permanent residency fee can be paid later. you are correct, the child does not pay the right of permanent residency fee or submit a PCC.

if anything is missing from your application that is necessary to process or finalize the applicaiton, the visa office will request it when they are reviewing the file. the applicant will receive communication from the visa if anything is needed.
