I am an Independent Contractor but I didn't register for incorporation (As a PGWP holder, I can't apply for incorporation as far as I know, please correct me if I am wrong). Now, as I can't register for incorporation, do I have to register for a sole proprietorship? What is the procedure to do that? If there is no need to do that (just filling the specific tax form during tax return will be sufficient), how can I register for GST? Can I register for GST without being registered in anywhere (like incorporation or sole proprietorship)?
You can go to the above website to register a corporation first, and then call CRA to register a business number. You can register your GST/HST account once you have your business number. It does not say that PGWP holders cannot register a corporation.
Unless at least one of the partners in your incorporation is a PR, you can not form an INC
I am in a similar state as you are in. I have my friend who is a PR who is incorporated and she has me added to her INC.

There are basically 3 distinct forms of business recognized by the CRA - Individual/Individual Proprietorship, Partnership, and Corporation. You are the first. You register the business with the province in which you live, before you register for the GST number.
If you want to incorporate (there may or may not be benefits to doing so for you), you will need to see a lawyer.
There are services that will help you decide which way to go and file the paperwork... And you can always call the CRA. I have found them to be extremely helpful.
Hi, I'm in the same situation. I am on a PGWP and have received a 1099 contract from a US company. Should I just accept my hourly wage on my canadian bank acct and then when I file my annual taxes, declare that it was income gained from the contract?
I am already eligible for PR through FSW but will apply later.
