Holding Canada Work Permit, Am i eligible to raise PR ?

Hi Everyone

If i am holding a Work Permit for Canada, Will i be able to raise Canadian PR?

As my company has given me chance to raise Work Permit and i have started its procedure but i am not sure when they would give me opportunity.

So will i be able to raise PR of my own when i am holding Work Permit.

Please help me.

You still have to qualify for one of the immigration programs. Usually you need to work in Canada for a year for your work permit to help.

Thank you for taking your time to reply to my post.

My concern is if i am holding a work permit , will i be able to raise PR on top of that as i am not sure if my company is giving opportunity in Canada based on the work permit.

According to my company they do work permits for employee to be on a safer side and i am not sure about opportunity.

Please give me some idea if i would have a chance to raise PR on top of work permit if i am sitting in my own country INDIA

You can apply for PR separately from your WP. Can't imagine that Canada will keep on giving our WP to your company if there aren't actual jobs but potential future need.
