Hi I'm from Viet Nam, i have been accepted for becoming a resident tattoo artist in a tattoo studio in Kenora,Ontario
They invited me and guaranteed me to come but it seems very hard if i can't get a work permit. Tattooing is not a job in the list accepted for worker permit. So what should I and my employer do now
"A Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is a document that an employer in Canada may need to get before hiring a foreign worker.
A positive LMIA will show that there is a need for a foreign worker to fill the job. It will also show that no Canadian worker is available to do the job. A positive LMIA is sometimes called a confirmation letter."
He have applied for that but you know tattoo isn't in the job list accepted for work permit

Note that for the LMIA to be approved, your employer will have to start by advertising the job for at least a month to prove no Canadian could be found for the role. Your employer will need to make sure they follow the LMIA advertising requirements and advertise the role in at least three places as required. Note that places like kijiji don't count.

The fact you are a tattoo artist really doesn't have that much to do with it. The work permit and LMIA process is the same regardless of what the job is.
