Good day to all,
i was denied TRV in december. I wanna visit my husband for our wedding anniversary and asked for 3 months stay. Officer was not satisfied, unsufficient funds (bank acct was 25k between savings and mutual funds) i put my available funds for my stay was 9k too little?. Length of stay and purpose of visit.
Planning to apply again this month and hopefully make it possible to be with my husband for our first wedding anniversary. Have already put more money in the bank.
But should we hire an immigration consultant to guide us through this process this time? does anybody know a lawyer or consultant in Edmonton, AB? any aproximate of how much would they charge?

I think the problem was likely asking for a three month stay. That's far too long and demonstrates a lack of ties. When you reapply, ask for 2-3 weeks.

I agree with Scylla.

You say you want to be with your husband for your wedding anniversary, but ask for three months. That simply doesn't add up.

Celebrations for anniversary would be one week, two weeks tops, and should include full itinerary (a trip, with hotel bookings, airtickets, tickets for events, etc.). Unless you can prove that you will be celebrating for the three months, then asking for that much time is not adviced at all.

I agreed with that much long time !!!

Max visit should be 2 or 3 weeks !!!

In this case, a lawyer isn't necessary. It is not immigration visa. Just re-apply and ask for about one week as others have suggested. And provide more documents to support your social and economic ties to your country. Also avoid putting lump sum of money into your bank account.
