How can I start the divorce? Will it take a lot of money and how long is the process? Can you please give me a referral on how can I file the divorce? Thanks you so much.
Talk to a lawyer. What province are you in? There are lawyers who can help you. Four years is a long time and sometimes relationships breakdown. You can be sponsored under spousal sponsorship if you have lived together for at least a year. You have to show proof that you have "merged" your lives.

im in edmonton alberta.so i have to got a divorce first before my common law partner here can actually file a sponsorship for me, right? what are the other proof that we are actually a common law partner? we dont have a bank joint acct together and we both dont declare that we are common law for the benificiaries because im still married...what should i do?
We are on the same situation. I am married in the Philippines but not legally separated. I've been living with my partner for almost six years and now that we had a baby here in Canada we declared that we are common law partner.
No. I'm not a permanent resident.I'm only a TFW.I am a holder of a OWP with the sponsorship of my common law partner because he is a skilled worker here in canada.
