The copmany I worked for 4 years ago (say X) went through an acquisition by company Y in the year 2014.
The main product of company X (before acquisition) was X too. Immediately after acquisition, the company product became known as YX.
Now, in the pre-ITA appl. I had filled YX as the company name (a mistake - this was the product not the company) when I'm just learning that it should have been just X. In 2017 (when internal integration etc. was completed) company X became Y.
In the post-IT application - I will change my company name to the correct one. Can I explain this in my letter of explanation?
