Help with student visa in Canada

Hi guys

I am currently on F-1 OPT EAD which is temporary work permit given after we've completed our master's in the US. I want to do a second master's in Canada and have already gotten acceptance letters.

Can I directly go to Canada from the US? my home country is India.

Is it advisable to go to consulate general of Canada here in the US or go back to home country for visa stamping?

Please let me know Im trying to understand this situation

I believe that with the letter of acceptance from university you need to apply for a study permit.
