"Consent for immigration
If you have children under 18 years of age who will accompany you to Canada, you must submit an original notarized consent form (see end of Appendix A) signed by the other parent allowing your children to immigrate with you. "
"
I, the undersigned, _____________________________________________________________________
authorize my son (daughter) _____________________________________________________________
to immigrate to Canada to live permanently with his(her) father(mother) __________________________
____________________________________________________________________________________
I understand and accept that this will not oblige the Government of Canada to grant me admission to Canada in the future, either as a visitor or as an immigrant, unless I satisfy all the requirements of the Canadian Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and Regulations in effect at that time.
If this condition is not satisfied, I understand and accept that this may result in a permanent separation from my son (daughter).
Declared at ____________________________________ on ___________________________
Signature: _____________________________________
N.B.: This declaration must be witnessed either by a Notary Public."
OK BUT DO I NEED THAT DOKUMENT , WHEN THE MOTHER (MY COMMON-LOW) IS TRAVELING WITH US, SURE SHE IS OK WITH THAT- THE CHILD IS NOT TRAVELING ONLY WITH ME ...?! I JUST DO NOT UNDERSTAND IF I NEED IT OR NOT?!
No this form will not be needed...you would only need this form if your spouse had other children by a former spouse and the two of you wished to immigrate with those children. since this child is yours and you are sponsoring her the government knows that you know she is immigrating. thats all that letter does is tell the government the other parent knows and agrees to the child being sponsored. Good Luck!
