I'm CEC inland (March 27th AOR). I called CIC two weeks back for an update on my application. The agent responded by saying "Most of the steps are completed and I can't tell you further as it is below 6 month timeline".
My Previous employer in India received a call on Saturday (2 days ago) from Canadian High Commission. They asked him general questions about my work experience with them. My previous employer answered everything except a question where he messed up with the employment years. It was a Part-Time employment from 2010 - 2012. However, he ended up saying 2008 - 2010. He informed me right away about the confusion.
Will this have an impact on my application? Is there any way I can clarify CIC about this?

Yes. There is a website. I mentioned all the duties on the letter. My previous employer confirmed the same. He was only confused with the years as he didn't have access to the database.

Can you share what happened with your application at the end ? Did you get your pr ?
Also I want to ask something : did you submit all your papers ? (Tax, social insurance with employer, bank statement showing salary from company) ?
I wonder if we put all those docuem’ts Do they still will call the employer to verify ?
