HELP!!! Restoring my status from student to visitor, what to do!?

Our application was recently sent back for a missing signature; with this I lost my implied status and need to apply for a restoration of status to send out with the updated application.

I came to Canada as a student, but I don't think I can apply to restore my status as a student since I don't have a valid study permit anymore as I'm finished with school.

I'm filling out form IMM5708 - what do I select for question 3 ("I am applying for one or more of the following"):
"Restore my status as a visitor" or "Get a new temporary resident permit (for inadmissable applicants only)"????

You aren't applying for a Temporary Resident Permit. That's something completely different. You will apply to restore your status as a visitor.

Thank you so, so much for your insight. I wasn't sure what it was.

Do you happen to have any idea whether or not they require us to update the status-section other forms in the sponsorship application? When we sent it in (january) I stated that I was a student, since my student status was still valid. Now that we're re-sending the application I'm out of status.

Currently I have the imm5709 and imm5257
Are those the right ones?
