Help required regarding the baggage allowance of Lufthansa

I have booked my tickets to Canada in Air Canada... But there are no air Canada flight from chennai and hence the flight from chennai to Frankfurt is operated by Lufthansa... Hence the baggage allowances for Lufthansa is not mentioned clearly in the tickets... Anybody traveling in Lufthansa and if so please throw some light on the baggage specifications...

Cl the airline n ask. basic package is 23*2 kgs (2 pieceS)

I am travelling with lufthansa too. From what i hv read which im going to confirm by calling them up too if students are allowed an additional luggage, is that 35 kgs is allowed!! 8 kg hand luggage.! I

Thanks for your response... But I tried calling them and they told 23 *2 and then an 8 kg.. Plus a laptop bag.. Which should contain only laptop and charger.

Yep, sorry its 23*2 kgs. Are you aware how flexible they are with the luggage dimensions? It says not exceeding 158cms(len+wid+hei). Mine is 177 cms. And they said they would charge an exhorbitant 300 USD. I need to know how forgivin is the Lufthansa authority for students at Mumbai airport.
