I have received an offer letter from Conestoga for Project Management for May 2014. I am planning to apply under SPP. I am going for bank loan and will show some extra funds as well.
My concern is, my work experience is not relevant to what I have studied in my graduation, as I have done Civil engineering and I am currently working in IT company, so will this bee an issue for VISA? What are my chances with this profile?
I am also planning to put an SOP. I selected general Project Management as this course will set my options free for both civil and IT industry in future. Should I mention this in my SOP? or should I just concentrate on 1 field? If just 1 then which one would be better IT or Civil?
I would like to do project management from conestoga college ,which consultancy should i join in mumbai and which is the best one.
what r the chances of getting a job after Project management

IMHO, you should concentrate your SOP on IT. Work experience is more important than field of education. You even may emphysize that you need PM program because you got into IT after Civil engineering. PM program will help you to strengthen your skills necessary for IT (loke, to continue in IT you need now some education more relevant to IT ).
Why only PM at Contestoga, and why not Centennials??
I am planning for PM at Centennials, since i heard Kitchener has few job opportunites, And what about PR?
I came to knwo this from ppl studying in Contestoga...They told me this..
It wud be highly grateful if u can answer my few queries please :
My profile:
10th : 91.4%
12th : 85%
Btech passed in 2012 (Electronics Communication) : 78%
Currently working in HCL Tech (IT Domain) as software engineer. I have 1.5 yrs of work experience now.
I am thinking of Project management at Centennials for Sept 2014, but worried for PR after that.
1)Any courses u think are suitable as per my qualification?
2) How to get PR, sice work permit given will be only 1 year?
3) How successful GAS (4 -months) courses are? If i take GAS course after competing 1 year of PM, then will work permit extend?
4) I am getting the Masters in Concordia , but dont know job opportunities after that..Any suggestions ?
