Hello All,

I am Rahul. I have done my Master's in Electrical Engineering from USA and have 3 years of full time work experience and my work experience is listed in NOC. I am able to get the 67 points required for the skilled worker visa. I have come to canada on study visa in the month of January 2010 for 1 year course. Can I apply for skilled worker visa now or Do I need to complete the course and then apply for it?

Thank you all,

Rahul

1. Unless you have 1 years experience in an occupation on the list of "38" you can't apply yet.http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/backgrounders/2008/2008-11-28a.asp
2. If you don't have experience in the "38" then you would have to have studied in Canada for 1 year before you could apply.

Thanks PMM for your reply. I have 1 year of experience in NOC list. but can I apply for the visa right now as I am still doing the course?. Will the canadian visa officer doesn't get a doubt that I have come here to settle permanently?
