Hi There,

I have been in Canada with a Work Permit since January 2019 (my visa will expire in January 2020). My employment contract has been extended for another 2 years. So next week I will apply for the extension of my Work Permit (it's taking about 3 months to process). I have a fiancee and we are getting married in my home country (Brazil) this December. Thus, I will fill out the form with the single marital status (since I will be married only in December). My question is: can my future wife apply for a Open Work Permit next year? Or will she not be able to do this because I applied as a single?
