Hi all,
Just trying to figure out a few things for out of country spousal sponsorship for my husband, who is American still living in the U. S.
As for the medical examination, does it have to be submitted with original application or can we send it later? Also - do myself and our 3 month daughter need one as well? We are both in Canada.

hi i just answered your question in the other thread. please do not double post questions and give people time to answer. if you are not satisfied with that answer, then ask follow up questions for clarity in one of the threads.
Thanks!
as for the question that is different on this thread... you will hear different opinions on whether it is ok to send in the application without the medical exam receipt. i am in the group that believes it is ok to do so, since cic tends to look the other way because it is not necessary for the sponsor's application to be processed - which happens first. there are others who suggest it is a risk because it is technically a "required" document, and cic may decide to send your applicaiton back. from what i've seen and read, this is a very low risk and applications are rarely sent back because of ONLY a missing medical receipt. there are many many applicants who do not submit the medical upfront without issue. cic will send instructions about how to send it to the visa office down the road.

you posted this question just over an hour ago in the very first thread:

yes. anything that is required for the applicant is ONLY required for the applicant. not the sponsor or canadian dependants.
as stated in the other thread:
note the terms "family members" and "spouse" found in the applicant forms do NOT refer to the sponsor spouse. these are standard forms for all streams of immigration, therefore these terms are only referring to "family members" or a "spouse" that is seeking PR status in the application (ie: a married couple applying together or a dependant child who is not a canadian citizen or pr). For application purposes you are ONLY considered the "sponsor".
