Hi to everyone here,
I found out that the NOC 1231 for bookkeeper is not illustrated in NOC Matrix 2011. But when I looked up the job title 'bookkeeper' using NOC search, it still gives me the code of 1231 and all related information. Why is that? Has the new NOC system wiped out the occupation of Bookkeeper?
I'm using the bookkeeper occupation to apply for Skilled Worker. If my assumption correct, does it mean I'm no longer eligible for the application?
Please help! I looked everywhere online, but did not find a clue.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. This year's quota of 10,000 applications has already been reached. Though this is not not applicable to AEO and pH.D stream applicants.

As far as i know the job of bookkeeping was not between the 29 NOC's listed.
I think the leingod plans to apply under AEO, but can't find the NOC for bookkeeper in the NOC 2011.
Probably it is listed under accountant.

leingod, I am attaching the link to the categories for Business, finance and administration occupations below, try to correlate the job duties from one of these and you would be able to apply in that NOC:
