Hi Guys

Need help. My girl friend is visiting me from Spain. We are planning to get married later this month in Canada . She has 10 years old son back home. If we get married , while applying for her spousal visa , can I apply as inland with son as dependent though son is in spain or it has to be outland application ?

It can be inland but it may be inconvenient due to some uncertainty if she needs to return home for more than short trips.

Without excessive detail: if she doesn't expect to work here before PR (and hence no need for PR) and/or uncertain will remain throughout process in Canada, applying outland may be preferable.

Of course if child has visa waiver passport (eg Spain) child could come to Cda (leaving aside health care etc issues).

Schooling could also be an issue if the child wants to come to Canada.
