I’m from India, working full-time as a Data Engineer. My wife (Canadian PR) is pregnant and living alone in Canada. I applied for a visitor visa to support her, but it was refused twice under 179(b)
I have provided:
Approved sabbatical leave
Strong financial/property ties
Elderly dependent mother in India
Doctor’s letter, employer letter and salary details
Marriage Certificate
I genuinely intend to return after supporting my wife post-delivery.
Any advice or success stories on similar reapplications would really help.

Have you not started the spousal sponsorship process? That should be the first step. Given it was refused twice and your wife is PR then IRCC believes you have no intention of going back. You have no family ties outside Canada because your spouse is your only family tie. Parent is not.
If anything the pregnancy makes getting a TRV much more difficult. Not genuinely believable that you will only want to remain for the delivery and return home.

I haven’t started yet, as it’s expected to take considerable time, and given my current situation, I opted for a visit visa since it’s comparatively faster than the spousal sponsorship process

How long a trip did you request? How long is your sabbatical? What were the refusal reasons specified in the letter? Have you ordered GCMS notes? I would not recommend applying again unless you can significantly strengthen your application.
Also, I would get the spousal sponsorship application submitted asap regardless.
If you wanted to apply for something like a work permit, you would first need a job offer in Canada and an approved LMIA from the employer. Both are generally very difficult to get.

You should have started the process because getting a TRV is almost impossible because you are married to a PR. You are expected to start the process first. You are not coming to visit. There is no other visa to come on unless you have a job offer with approved LMIA to apply for a closed work permit. When did she become PR and does she meet residency obligations? How long have you been together?

i have a leave approved for 5 months as i am travelling international. rejected under 179(b) stating they are not satisfied that i will leave canada , visit to canda is not consistent with temporary stay and financial ties.

Approved leave for that long just shows to IRCC that you are not returning. A 5 month visit is way too long if you are truly a visitor. You are not. To IRCC, you are going to land and apply for inland PR sponsorship.
How much money did you show for 5 months because minimum is $10k for 2-3 week visit. You need to start sponsorship process if spouse meets RO. A TRV is not going to happen.

we got married in august 2024, she moved to canada in feb 2025 and she is having a PR from past 5+ years got her PR renewed in march 2025. We know each other from past one and half year.

so after applying for PR, can i change my leave plan to 2 months or lesser than that. will they compare the details with my previous applications?. Also any suggestion on the funds for 1-2 months of stay?
Her medical condition is normal, she is working from home, she is given medicine for diabetes and some vitamins and mineral supplements.
