Help Needed! Study Permit / International student

Hi,

My Girl Friend is in Canada on a student Visa, and we are wondering if it is possible to skip a semester or 2 of school. She came here on a student Visa but decided she didn't really want to go to school this upcoming semester.

What I'm wondering is, Will she face deportation if she decides not to attend school? if not deportation, will it affect an application for Permanent Residence in the future? Any details or info on this would be much appreciated.

As an international student, you may be eligible to take a semester off.

Best advice is to speak with her Programme coordinator and they will guide her to the best of their capabilities.
