!! HELP NEEDED !! Is IELTS GENERAL accepted for getting offer letter from colleges and applying study permit?

Hi

Do anyone have experience regarding this, I read on canada.ca website under requirements for SDS study permit application that they accept both ielts academic and general. Asking for my brother who has taken ielts general recently and we would like to use that to get offer letter from a college probably in winnipeg. Any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

You can read requirement of that specific college you want to apply, whether they will accept General IELTS.

I used my IELTS General for my Study Permit application (Non-SDS). I was exempted by the universities I applied to as I come from a country with English as the medium of Instruction.
