Help me !!!!

I sent in an IRCC webform for a name change, and I received an email stating that I need to confirm my representative, last night we received another email with my new name but still asking to confirm the representative.
On the IRCC webform I put "MY WIFE DID A NAME CHANGE" the Lawyer said I needed to put "I" did a name change, that I am representing myself.
My Husband went to see the Lawyer and they sent in a Use of Representative form and the Lawyer told him that I was not supposed to change my name until I get to Canada and now we have added on 4 months wait time to our application.
Three months to do the name change and one month to approve the use of a representative form.
But we already got an email with the new name but just asking to confirm the representative.
I am confused because i don't what is happening?
Is that true that I have to wait another 4 months to change my name and confirm the form, I am confused??? Please help me with my answers

I was told the same from my satellment counsler! I did submit a use of rep. form after sending the application and I was told that the addition of any documents during the processing will lengthen the overall waiting time ! It's a game of waiting !

When did u submit your application and when did u send in the use of a representative form?
