Help: almost late for ONIP application submission, what to do?

Hello guys

I got the ONIP PT on Dec 23, 2015 EST and supposedly the deadline to deliver the application package to OINP is Feb 8, 2016 EST.

However, I sent out the documents on Feb 1, 2016 and now, as of Feb 5 EST, the courier is still at MISSISSAUGA, ON. The tracking records:

Date Time Location Description

2016/02/05 03:48 MISSISSAUGA, ON Item processed

2016/02/04 22:04 MISSISSAUGA, ON Item processed

2016/02/04 08:01 MISSISSAUGA, ON Item processed

2016/02/03 11:05 RICHMOND, BC Item processed

2016/02/03 09:19 RICHMOND, BC Item processed

2016/02/03 09:19 RICHMOND, BC Item was released by Customs and is now with Canada Post for processing

2016/02/02 12:59 RICHMOND, BC Item has arrived in Canada and was sent for further processing.

** So here is the question, what shall I do now?

A. Contact Canada Post and ask them to deliver it on Feb 8?

or

B. Contact ONIP telling them I might be late?

There seems to be high probability that it might get delivered on the 8th Feb itself.
In the meanwhile you may send an email to OINP informing them about a possible delay in delivery.

It was finally safely delivered and signed on Feb 8 (ETS time), the last day of the 45 days' window. Thanks!!!

Cheers. I was able to predict it as there is a special instruction mentioned on document parcels to be delivered only on weekdays. As such your parcel was already in Ontario on Friday.
