Hi Forum
I have a query regarding the way letters are addressed in general test. What is the right way to address letters :
The two sources of information have confused and I'm not able to take decision.
Pls help
Dear Nitin,
1st 1 is correct... actually thr r two types of letters, formal and less formal or informal..
in formal letters u can either right name or surname.like Mr. Nitin or Mr. kalra.. (If u knw the person whom u r writing) but if u dont knw the person u should write Dear sir or madam..
in informal letters (Addressing to family or friend) u can write it by name only...
