Hello. I am currently studying in Toronto. I applied for a study permit and I also got it. Then as my visa got expired I applied for a Temporary resident visa. I submitted all papers on July 1st. It's been a month now. How long does it take? When they will email us for a passport? Without this, I couldn't leave Canada. I wanted to go to my home country.
But I heard that as long as I got my study permit but I don't have my visa I can go to my country. Is it true?

1/ You don't need a TRV to leave Canada only to return. (Unless you are only going to the US or Pierre et Miquelon
2/ Posted processing time is 15 days plus mailing time in Canada or 22 days if a paper application.
