It took me about 70 minutes to have a PRRA hearing today. Everything went well from my end, but at the end of the hearing, a refugee board member informed me that I would receive CBSA results and that I had the right to appeal. When I asked my lawyer why the board member had said that, he replied that he didn't know but that I had done a great job. This response has left me feeling concerned about the outcome of my case. Should I assume that my case has been rejected?"
Impossible to say whether that was a standard message that is repeated for everyone or an indication of your result. Unfortunately all you can do is wait.
I personally feel that the outcome was not what I expected, but I answered truthfully for all questions. I was only confused twice, but I managed to clear up the confusion. Nonetheless, the experience made me feel uncomfortable. Anyway, I appreciate the time you took to answer my questions
