Dear All,
I have landed as PR in ONTARIO 10 days back. Ontario has 3 month waiting period before public insurance kicks in. So can anyone suggest a private insurance for this 3 month waiting period and what would be the cost?
Thanks
I checked it and all of them are providing only more like travel insurance. Is that what newly landed immigrants take?
So you are saying newly landed immigrants take more like travel insurance for 3 months, which provides only for emergency services?
You can buy three months of medical insurance as a package, it obviously has limitations.
If you need a lot of coverage, you will pay a lot more and you may need to insure with a company that will provide a custom package.
I bought emergency insurance, which is most of my concerns.
if you are not sure, you can call or email the insurance provider for consultation

Can I ask how much it cost?
some people get insurance with bluecross in canada. Most people I know got a travel insurance (emergency only) or an expat health insurance, though. It kind of depends on your country of origin and its insurance landscape...
Some new immigrants are eligible for coverage when they arrive. Check with the provincial health plan directly for details.

Just to be clear, the OP posted
However, it is true that some provinces do not have a 3 month wait time.
