Hello, Me and My wife are PR holders and we recently moved to canada. My kid is born in USA after our landing so she did not receive her PR at that time. I am now in canada and starting her PR application. My kid came to Canada on her USA passport. I am looking for Private health insurance for my kid and most companies will only insure adults. I know we can apply for OHIP if the the applicant is eligible for PR but not sure what documentation is needed? Any information on private health insurance would be appreciated.

Your child doesn't qualify for OHIP until they get their PR. You should be able to purchase emergency health coverage easily for your child at any of the large Canadian insurance companies as long as your child doesn't have serious health issues. Routine care will be out of pocket.
