I need some help on how to best set up health care for my two children.
We are currently applying for permanent residency (family sponsorship). I have finally received my work pemit valid until 2023
which means that I am eligible for Alberta Health Care.
But what about our children? We are currently on an implied status waiting for the visitor record to be extended for them. However, according to Alberta Health, once they receive the visitor record, health insurance can only be set up for 90 days (backdated to the date when our visitor visa expired).
I do not understand why I receive full health coverage with my work permit -however there seems to be nothing to apply for my kids to get full health coverage.
