Hello there,

I have a cousin whos Canadian. I am planing on CEC route and been in the pool waiting for an ITA, my question is, I didnt say that I have a relative in Canada when filling out the EE profile. As a matter of fact I almost never talked to my cousin here in Canada and maybe met him like once in adulthood. Do I must claim that i have this cousin in Canada?

You can opt not to mention about your cousin.

can more people confirm on this one? When I am filling my application after the ITA, it's asking me again if I have answered the question that if I have a relative in Canada or not.

I just wanna make sure it's 100% ok if I say no i dont have a relative in Canada, when i actually have a cousin that I almost never talked to my entire life. Plus cousin shouldnt count as immediate family right?!!!!

You are right. Cousins do not count in CIC's definition, so no need to declare them.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

Relatives in Canada
You, or, if it applies, your spouse or common-law partner, have a relative, either a

parent,
grandparent,
child,
grandchild,
child of a parent (sibling),
child of a grandparent (aunt or uncle), or
grandchild of a parent (niece or nephew), who is
living in Canada
18 years or older and
a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

does this apply to CEC as well?

Let's just say yes.

The relatives are asked only to calculate for FSW eligibility, but since you're applying for CEC, you don't need to mention any at all.
If at all you declared one during your EE profile, you can leave them out after ITA with no consequence.
