I'm answering the imm1294e form and in the question "have you previously applied to enter or remain in canada" I don't know if I have to answer yes or no, because I visited canada in 2018 using ETA, is that an application to enter in canada? I did not applied for visitor visa.

The answe is yes. An eta is an application for entry.
