Hello! soo i'm in a little bit of a rut, i'm waiting on my TRV (within canada) and i need to travel on vacation next tuesday, they haven't asked for my passport yet so i'm worried it might not happen in time.
I have a valid work permit but not a valid trv. is there anything i can do to speed up the process to make sure i don't miss this trip?

you can go for vacation then send your passport to the Canada visa office in which you travel to stamp a new TRV. However, it gonna take few weeks for the returning of your passport. My suggestion is when you submit your passport to the visa office, let them know you are urgent situation, showing your flight ticket to indicate that you need it as soon as possible.
